Voron Trident + your AI agent

Open source, run by Klipper. Your agent asks your config what it needs and gets to work.

Can an AI agent control the Voron Trident?

Yes. Kiln connects through Moonraker — the network door Klipper machines already have. Kiln is the open-source layer that lets ChatGPT, Claude, Codex, Cursor, Gemini, Grok, or any MCP-speaking agent design, slice, and print on it.

pip install kiln3dkiln install-mcp

The second command connects Claude Desktop, Claude Code and Codex. For Cursor, see Kiln in Cursor; the install guide covers the rest.

What your agent can do with this machine

  • Designs new parts from a description in your own words
  • Slices with a profile tuned for this machine
  • Checks the job fits before it starts
  • Sends jobs and runs the queue
  • Tracks progress and reports when it's done
  • Watches the print as it runsneeds a camera this machine doesn’t ship with

Kiln knows this machine’s real limits, material by material — ask your agent before you buy a spool.
